Job Description
Major Operator seeks to recruit an Upstream Internal Auditor with Operational experience. This role is based in London and is offered on a permanent basis.
The purpose of the Internal Audit function is to examine whether the Group is operating as intended by the System of Internal Control and to provide independent audit opinions to Executive leadership, the Group Chief Executive and ultimately Board of Directors.
Internal Audit provides a unique development opportunity for candidates looking to understand how the Group works as a whole from the Board to the customer. This work covers all aspects of governance including the underlying values, standards, processes and risks that shape business operations and decisions. Internal Audit staff have the opportunity to work across segments on a range of topics of Group significance and can expect exposure to senior Segment, Functional, and Regional management.
Responsibilities:
- Leading or participating in audits and reviews, challenge sessions and other exercises to support delivery of the function's accountabilities.
- Analysing business information to identify risks and key control strengths and weaknesses.
- Developing and communicating insights and messages effectively.
Candidate Requirements:
- Educated to Degree level with a recognised professional qualification or part-qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Significant experience in an E&P Operator environment is essential.
