A leading Global Engineering company is looking to appoint a Lead Industrial Hygienist ideally you will speak French also. You will be working on a major Mining Infrastructure project based in Guinea West Africa. This is a permanent position on a base salary of 60-80k project uplifts. In the role you will work flexibly as part of a major team to tight deadlines and have strong experience of major international projects. Key Responsibilities/Experience: Highly motivated individual with proven track record of satisfying client needs in Industrial Hygiene Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Services including performing industrial hygiene and safety audits on the project site in the field air testing and monitoring asbestos and lead abatement planning and management. Responsible for performing Health and Hygiene Risk Assessments for chemical radiological physical and biological potential exposures and developing an industrial hygiene sampling plan based on the risk. Responsible for assisting the Business Unit Leaders and the Corporate Industrial Hygienist in providing a safe and healthy workplace utilizing engineering controls and personal protective equipment based upon results of the Risk and Exposure Assessments. This is an opportunity for a dynamic individual who can effectively operate in a large expansion construction project role Will be expected to support project and proposal opportunities throughout the region while conducting technical industrial hygiene related surveys and assessments and provide consultation in Occupational Health Risk Management to Project leaders directors and Corporate Industrial Hygiene. Prepare direct and review technical reports proposals and cost estimates as well as complete as needed all risk similar exposure group assessments Basic/Required Qualifications Certified Industrial Hygienist CIH REQUIRED. MS degree in Industrial Hygiene or a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Hygiene with a minimum of 5 years experience in the field. Operational knowledge of Industrial Hygiene monitoring equipment. Operational knowledge of computer databases and office programs MS Access MS Excel MS Word. Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to prepare reports and proposals. Ability to manage and interface with clients on a daily basis. Must pass drug test background check and must have a satisfactory driving record. Fluent French speaker Physical Demands Ability to work in the field under various weather conditions and to maintain necessary field equipment independently.
