Job Description
Basic Purpose of Job:
Provide strong leadership, derive and maintain performance standards for the provision of Production Operations across company Asset Operations business.
Production Operations includes: Production;Marine and Services.
Consistently and persistently strive to optimise PO and integrate function and business line to underpin effective delivery to support the collective achievement of Asset Operations business objectives.
To ensure that ''fit for purpose'' PO process, polive, strategy and procedures and implemented and anomalous conditions assessed and rectified so as to maintain company Integrity and maximise the availability of company's operated assets.
Irrespective of asset type or location.
To manage and lead on behalf of company Operations function Production Operations.
Supervisory/Managerial Duties:
Ensure that all activities within their charge acheive optimum, effective and safe performance.
Acquire, or provide, the resources necessary to execute the activity whilst adhering to budget principles, financial authorities, process specifications and technical authorities.
Offshore/site visits will be required in this role as per operational requirements
Main Duties:
Establish and maintain Operations Management System (OMS) undertake role of process owner for Production, Marine and Services.
Establish and maintain PO process and policy
Establish and maintain PO Strategy, plan & assure effective application.
Embed PO process at all levels of Asset Operations business
Facilitate effective education and awareness of PO across Asset Operations
Test the effectiveness of PO management arrangements in place
Direct internal audits toward PO areas of concern
Actively participate in relevant investigations and audit programs
Establish PO as a standing item on Asset operations agenda
Establish and maintain strong working relationship with Operations Managers and asset teams
Ensure Asset Operations management is well informed about PO management issues
Establish and maintain strong links with relevant external bodies and internal functions
Manage and assure delivery of appropriate PO reporting, internally
Monitor, evaluate and challenge the organisation's success in managing PO Organisational
Establish and implement recruitment criteria and succession plans for all staff under area of responsibility.
Establish and implement Competence Criteria, actively support and participate in appraisals and identification of training requirements
Ensure effectiveness of ''people development'' and actively seek to demonstrate that the development of those people has improved the performance of the organisation, teams and individuals
Development
Seek out and exploit the importation of good practice across industry to maintain competitiveness
Identify and develop relations with relevant 3rd parties, customer groups and PO community, personally promoting an improvement culture in PO.
Financial
Develop and propose for approval to line manager annual budget
Deliver and support effective budget management against agreed budgets and targets
Experience:
Considerable and relevant experience in an Offshore Oil and Gas environment
Significant experience in a relevant position
Demonstrable and appropriate level of knowledge of Production, Marine and Services management processes.
Demonstrable and appropriate level of knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation, codes and technical standards their implications on the business and management there of (all asset types)
Demonstrable and appropriate level of knowledge of Oil and Gas production processes (subsea to flare tip), including production management, optimisation, reporting and planning, marine and deck operations, management, reporting and planning
Demonstrable and appropriate level of knowledge in work scope and boundary interfaces, implications, management and planning
Demonstrable and appropriate level of knowledge and experience in leading investigations and application of Root Cause Analysis tools, techniques, finding analysis, reporting and close out.
Demonstrable and appropriate level of knowledge and experience of managing and developing PO personnel in line with organisations objectives and business drivers
Ability to establish, agree and manage and deliver on multiple business and personnel objectives
Keen business and commercial acumen
Skilled use of typical office software
Personal Skills:
Excellent communications, interpersonal and presentation skills
Excellent team building skills
Effective report writing (addessing multpile organisation levels)
Excellent wirtten and spoken English Persistence, a very keen eye for details and ability to complete and keep to deadlines
