Geochemist

My client is a major oil and gas company who are among the top global leaders in the energy sector. They are looking to hire a qualified Geochemist. The position is for a 6 month contract period starting early April 2012 based in Sunbury-on-Thames.

The main responsibilities of the Geochemist will be to:

1. Provide assessments for source rock distribution, maturity, and timing of charge, hydrocarbon volumes and quality to business units in close collaboration with basin modelers; provide integrated solutions to complex problems

2. Assist geoscientists in asset teams in the selection of sampling points and appropriate geochemical data analysis.

3. Collaborate with assets geoscientists to provide geochemistry as a fully-integrated part of basin, prospect, field or well analysis.

In order to apply for the role of a Geochemist, you must have the following Skills and Experience:

Post-Graduate degree in Chemistry/Geochemistry

• Understanding of aqueous geochemistry preferred.
• Understanding of core-flood experiments preferred.
