Role Summary/Purpose
The position is responsible for managing projects for developing products during the development phase and supporting the project managers through the later phases all the way through product commercialization. In this role, you will:

Essential Responsibilities
  • Be fully responsible for centrifugal pump engineering including hydraulic and mechanical design analysis to develop pump impeller and diffuser geometry and detailed design
  • Support root cause analysis of failures in pumps and implement corrective actions
  • Assist in discussions with customers worldwide on technical matters
  • Assist in technical matters pertaining to centrifugal pump castings and manufacturing
  • Establish new design practices and procedures
  • Support designers in development of pump component drawings

    Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of related experience in detailed engineering of centrifugal pumps, preferably in a manufacturing environment

    Desired Characteristics
  • Project management skills a plus
  • Experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics
  • Experience in Finite Element analysis a plus
  • Casting / Foundry knowledge
  • Experience in Vertical Turbine and/or Submersible Pumps
  • 3D Modeling background
  • Practical knowledge and experience in mechanical assemblies
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are required along with the ability to work effectively in a cross functional product development team
