Field Service Engineer - Subsea Controls job in Australia
A leading oil and gas engineering and sevices organisation currently requires a Subsea Controls Field Service Engineer to work in Australia on a long term basis.
Purpose of the Role:
The Field Service Controls Engineer / Technician must have experience with Subsea Production Equipment (SSPE) controls systems including direct experience experience with systems commissioning, Subsea Equipment e.g. Production trees, HPU etc in an offshore and deep sea environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Active participation in control system component manufacture and testing, including extended factory acceptance and site integration testing.
• Installation, commissioning and maintenance of subsea control system equipment.
• Resolution of technical problems and pro-active involvement in product improvement.
• Work closely with Project and Engineering teams to meet deadlines whilst maintaining GE’s high standards and values.
• Comply with GE and customer policies and procedures, relating to both Health & Safety and best working practice.
Qualifications / Candidate Requirements:
• Degree qualification in a relevant Engineering Discipline (Software/Hydraulics/Mechanical/Electrical or Electronics)
• Hands on experience of Control Systems, ideally in an Oil & Gas environment
• Proven ability to interface with Customers on a one-to-one basis
• Ability to travel at short notice and to global locations
• Able to meet the current requirements for working offshore, as specified by the UKOOA, OPITO and other recognised regional standards.
• Good knowledge of the English language (both spoken & written)
