Job Title: EPC1 Engineering Manager

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Qualification required: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering

Our client, AMEC, is looking for a EPC1 Engineering Manager to be responsible for the overall management of the Engineering team in Engineering Office and the liaison with IPMT Core Team Office for engineering delivery and resource reporting.

Job Specifications:

  • Ensuring that key reports carry out their duties and responsibilities in line with their agreed contract job descriptions.
  • To provide the overall design and engineering services ensuring compliance with the Quality Management Programme, HSE Plan, Project Coordination Procedure and Project Management Plan for EPC1 Project.
  • Deliver engineering services in terms of contract requirements, Engineering Processed and Quality through international and company standards to meet the current project schedule.
  • Reputation management ensuring the UZ750 IPMT is recognised as a competent and professional organisation with the resources and systems to effectively manage the project.
  • Develop and steward and Engineering Surveillance Plan, including monthly reporting.
  • Understand contract obligations and ensure that all supervised staff are aware of their obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act and the equivalent UAE standards.
  • Manage the day to day interfacing between the Engineering disciplines
  • Identify areas of concern with respect to progress of Project and recommending the corrective actions wherever required and executing when directed by the IPMT.
  • Lead and participate in Lessons Learned and Value Engineering workshops for optimizing scope and design.
  • Organising and participating in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP), Safety Integrity Level (SIL), Project Health, Safety and Environment Review (PHSER), EIA and HSE exercises for the EPC1 Project.
  • Manage the control of all engineering systems.
  • Develop and steward department procedures and work practices, as appropriate.
  • Develop close working relationships between all assigned engineering group members.

Personal Specification:

You will hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering, have a minimum of 15 years post graduate experience, a minimum of 10 years experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably with offshore pipelines and/or structures experience and a minimum of 5 years experience in the designation.
