1. Interpret and understand Customer Specifications/Requirements.
2. Act on these specifications by producing Scope of Work and disseminate technical information to the Team.
3. Liaising closely with customer on technical and project issues.
4. Develop conceptual design requirements for customer.
5. Ensuring designs meet specifications ISO API etc.
6. Assist in obtaining customer approval of design specifications.
7. Assist in identifying and ensuring equipment is designed in accordance with current Environmental, Health & Safety legislation/regulations.
8. Generate all relevant design documents 18.04, 18.02, 18.12, 18.14, FMECA.
9. Identify improvements in existing products, procedure and processes and develop cost effective solutions to satisfy specifications.
10. Develop design specifications for interpretation by other engineers and designers.
11. Identify, assess, mitigate and monitor Technical Risks in connection with the Project.
12. Ensure implementation of Lessons Learned from previous projects including installation and operational experiences.
13. Assist in the generation of the project Engineering plan.
14. Participate and take active part in design reviews including materials and environmental reviews.
15. Review with Supply Chain the material requirements for the assigned activities and ensure well defined.
16. Check drawings and calculations undertaken by others in support of design.
17. Liaise with other COEs to ensure designs interface with each other to minimise risk of potential clashes/problems.
18. Subcontract and manage (if necessary) discrete engineering packages such as analysis.
19. Prepare, review and approve preliminary and final Bill of Materials in ePIMS.
20. Review and release documents in ePIMS.
21. Carry out revisions on parts and documents in ePIMS following current RPP.
22. Ensure all engineering activities and documents are correctly achieved in ePIMS.
23. Undertake design verification, which may include but not limited to: risk analysis, failure analysis, calculations to establish a full Design Verification Package (DVP). Ensure DVP has third party or independent review.
24. Prepare Assembly and test procedures and document results.
25. Preparation of reports to support testing and inspection.
26. Liaise with Manufacturing to ensure designs are suitable and allow for efficient manufacture.
27. Provide support to manufacturing through supporting GRA response within 24 hours.
28. Prepare Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) procedures, prototype test procedures and document results.
29. Assist with FAT and prepare final reports.
30. Monitor for engineering scope change during the project and bring to the attention of management.
31. Provide information/updates to the Senior Management, Engineering Team Lead, Senior Engineer or Lead Engineer for weekly and monthly reports.
32. Provide novel ways of saving money and raising the appropriate workflow.
33. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
34. Provide Field Support if required.
35. Assist other Engineers and Managers as required.

1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering
2. Proven experience in an Engineering function.
3. Sound analytical and problem solving skills
4. Team player with good verbal and written communication skills.
5. Proactive, takes initiative to resolve upcoming issues and develop working processes.
