E&I Construction Engineer - Glasgow - 34500

The development of construction work scopes in accordance with design requirements and construction specifications while ensuring constructability in line with site requirements.

The construction engineer will be responsible for and take ownership of the assigned work packs from the development phase to the completions phase.

Providing technical support and advise to the site construction team during implementation and through to close out.




Main Duties:

Responsible to the Construction Delivery Manager for the development of work packages in line with company procedures and quality standards and providing construction support to site during the implementation and close out
phases of the project.

Reporting to the Project Engineers and ultimately the Project Managers/Coordinators for delivery of work packages in accordance with the project plan and integrated planning process.

Ensure the work packages includes all relevant handover documentation, work instructions, EDS sheets, mechanical and pre commissioning completion certification etc.



Specific Training / Specialist Skills:

Able to demonstrate previous experience in similar construction positions within a construction phase of a project based contract

Previous experience of estimating and compiling construction work packs

Experience of construction codes and practices

Knowledge of Lifting Operations Lifting Equipment

Regulations

Knowledge of ISSOW



Experience:

Experience in the oil and gas/petrochemical contracting industry.



Skills:


Articulate with good verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work unsupervised as part of a team

Able to supervise and direct others.

Able to work to tight deadlines.

Liaise with external customers at a high level.


Qualifications:

ONC / HNC or equivalent
