Our client, AMEC, is looking for an Electrical/Instrument Design Engineer (ECW) to provide technical expertise on all Engineering subject matter pertaining to the Electrical/Instrument Engineering design, including diesel generators, power distribution, protection systems, and instrumentation associated with packed mechanical units, etc.

Job Specifications:

• Ensure quality and accuracy of ECW Electrical and Instrument design activities.

• Review technical bid submissions and perform technical bid analysis

• Review and approve ECW Contractor’s work and ensure compliance with UZ750 contract, project specifications, relevant codes and standards, design philosophy, and best practices.

• Review and approve construction materials.

• Review of Electrical and Instrument installation methods/procedures submitted by ECW Contractor.

• Review of bill of quantities bases in line with scope of work , specifications and drawings.

• Provide technical guidance to develop new specifications and update existing specifications.

• Perform calculations for design validation and optimization.

• Participate in design reviews and technical workshops.

• Participate in Hazop & Hazid workshops and studies for ECW/TCCF.

• Provide Engineering expertise in the development and analysis of various design options.

• Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline engineers.

Personal Specification:

You will hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and have a minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry (Offshore and Onshore) with comprehensive hands-on experience in the fields of Electrical and Instrument Engineering. You will also have experience and detailed knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.
