Electrical Commissioning Supervisor job in Saudi Arabia
For commissioning of a refinery in Saudi Arabia, we are selecting Commissioning Supervisors in the following disciplines:
- Electrical
- Instrumentation & PCS
- Piping & Static equipment (mechanical)
- Rotating Mechanical equipment
Assignment is on a work/leave cycle of 12 weeks on x 2 weeks off, 6 days a week, 10 hours per day.
A minimum of 10 years experience in commissioning, preferably in downstream, is required.
Commissioning methodology will be OPERCOM©; previous exposure/knowledge of this commissioning methodology will be an advantage.
Commissioning Supervisors will be fully integrated within the End User Commissioning team and shall in particular (but not limited to):
- witness and monitor Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities and ensure their right delivery in accordance to the agreed standards.
- be fully responsible to assure that all checks and tests are performed successfully (punch list cleared following EPCC contractual requirements)
- be responsible to raise punch items for each discipline and collect End User database for follow-up.
- monitor punch items in order to bring the subsystem to the completion stage
- provide the support during the Start-up activities which shall begin with the final preparation to the introduction of the feedstock into the plant
Activities per discipline will more specifically cover the following:
For Electrical Discipline
Witness, monitor and check completion status of installation of the power distribution system, hardware, cables, etc. and prepare distribution network for energizing as a part of the commissioning activities.
The major commissioning activities will cover:
1.1 Energize electrical sub-stations and check functionality of all equipments, sometimes with another EPCC and/or with EPCC 5A
1.2 Functional test of circuit breakers, relays, spare equipments, adjust settings set-up
1.3 Functional test of electrical controls, emergency relays and trip systems.
1.4 Function Test of Uninterrupted Power Supply System (UPS)
1.5 Uncoupled no-load tests for all motors in accordance with project specification requirements.
1.6 Coordinate activities with vendor(s) and perform checks/tests for power generators if any
1.7 Functional test of lighting systems.
1.8 Functional test of telecommunications system.(is quite specialized)
1.9 Functional test of ECS systems and overall serial links involved in Electrical activities
