Job Description
Major Operator seeks to recruit a Night Wellsite Drilling Engineer/Drilling Supervisor with experience as a Drilling Engineer and/or Wellsite Drilling Engineer, and including experience as a Drilling Supervisor responsible for onsite supervision of drilling operations. This role is based in Tanzania and is offered on a long term contract basis. The Wellsite Drilling Engineer/Drilling Supervisor (Night Shift) needs to be continuously available and on-call when well operations are preparing or being executed, 7 days per week, every day of the year during operations.
The post holder should act as an assistant to the Senior Drilling Supervisor. Prepare Daily Well Operations Report every morning; revise on a daily basis the Daily Well Operations Report, hydraulics calculations at least every 48 hours and maintain materials transfer records.
Another key function of this position will be to update the Drilling Progress wall chart and e-file at the Drilling Unit and maintaining the inventory list of all equipment owned or hired by client.
You should have substantial experience in the oil and gas industry as a Drilling Engineer/Wellsite Drilling Engineer including experience as a Drilling Supervisor, have a degree and hold a valid IWFC and have worked on land drilling rigs and jack-up drilling operations.
The post holder should also be aware of, and have experience with, modern drilling technology, equipment, and practices.
