Draughtsperson job in UK
Our client has a strong focus on the growing deepwater subsea umbilical, riser and flowline markets in Africa, Asia Pacific, Brazil and the Gulf of Mexico as well as a leading role in the North Sea. Employing over 5,000 personnel onshore and offshore they are one of the world's leading subsea engineering and construction companies servicing the Oil & Gas industry
As Draughtsperson your main responsibilities will include
Applying draughting techniques to complex designs and assignments using industry standards and codes
Create engineering drawings, 3D models, details, layouts and sketches to support development, execution and installation of subsea projects
Assist in checking drawings for accuracy and completeness
Apply acquired knowledge of relevant engineering principles to complement the design process
Assist in checking drawings for accuracy and completeness
Liaise with relevant engineering departments required to progress project work, to company work methods and procedures
Supervision of junior resources, mentoring and guidance on all other related project and departmental activities
Specified Qualifications for position:
ONC or above in Mechanical Engineering discipline, essential
Skills
Competent using the latest AutoCAD software is essential and Autodesk Inventor Series 3D is a pre-requisite.
Experience:
Extensive design background, preferably in the Subsea sector
Mechanical draughting experience, essential / structural, desirable
Experience of working towards recognised industry standards
This is a contract position
