Job Description
As a well-known and trusted marine offshore consultancy within the Oil and Gas industry, our client has undergone a phenomenal period of growth and are therefore looking to take on a new design draughtsman to support the current team. They therefore invite applications from enthusiastic candidates that are willing to learn and develop a long term career in the London area.
Job Description:
Work within a team of Naval Architects and expert Engineers to assist in the modelling, draughting and detailing of ship structure, layouts and systems.
Provide assistance on the administration and issuing of drawings by ensuring all information is up to date and correct.
Assist other departments providing input in a variety of projects covering aspects such as Warranty and Hydrodynamics.
The Person:
An engineering based qualification or relevant experience within the marine industry would be beneficial.
Experience with AutoCAD 2D is essential.
Essentially the candidate must be enthusiastic and keen to learn.
Previous exposure to a 3D parametric modeller ideally Inventor or alternatively SolidWorks, Solidedge or Unigraphics would be extremely advantageous.
The successful candidate will benefit from a generously structured remuneration package and significant investment in training, gaining exposure in some of the industry's leading projects. The scope for progression within this role is enormous, whether your aspirations are to become a senior draughtsperson or join their expert engineering teams within other departments.
