CONSTRUCTION/PIPELAY/DIVING PORT CAPTAIN

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:

  • Management of internal projects
  • Provide support for scheduling and project controls
  • Record and monitor:
    • DP incidents and anomalies and follow up with guidance on corrective actions
    • Results of vessel audits and assume responsibility of corrective action and close out
  • Liaise with:
    • The ISM DPA to ensure compliance with the SMS
    • Project teams as required to ensure correct support and vessel assurance is available
  • Knowledge of all aspects of the SMS including:


o Ensure Safety and Pollution Prevention policies are reached

o Ensure responsibility, authority, and interrelation of all personnel who manage and verify work affecting these aspects of Company operations is properly conducted.


COMMUNITY

  • Located in West Houston




BACKGROUND PROFILE:

  • DP Certified
  • Mariner or relevant sea going experience
  • Offshore construction/pipelay/diving support vessels experience
  • Proven knowledge of the ISM Code, other marine regulations and marine systems
  • Project management experience and techniques is a plus




PERSONAL QUALITIES:

  • Ability to prioritize work in dynamic changing environment, develop respect by demonstrating leadership qualities and influence teams
  • Self starter, able to prioritize work as part of a leadership team
  • Willing to take on new responsibilities and accept Management of Change

Bachelors Degree or equivalent
