The Company:
Our client is the leading engineering technology solutions and turnkey contracting provider in Asia Pacific for the design and construction of hydrocarbon field development, oil refining, gas processing, petrochemicals and selected non-hydrocarbon projects. They support Onshore, Offshore and Subsea sectors.
The Role:
I am currently recruiting for a Senior Material and Corrosion Engineer to work for my leading client based in Malaysia.
- Involved in concept material selection based on lifecycle cost considerations.
- Provide expert advice and provide technical input on materials selection and corrosion control issues to support the design requirement.
- To support the regional office concerning the Material and Corrosion issues.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Phd, Master or Bachelors Degree in Metallurgy or Material Engineering.
Substantial experience as a materials and corrosion engineer in the oil & gas industry.
Good working knowledge with the selection of materials and corrosion control strategies to optimize the lifecycle integrity of oil & gas facilities and pipelines.
Good working knowledge of painting, coating/ lining and insulation systems.
Familiar with specifying cathodic protection systems and the design of corrosion exhibitor and monitoring systems.
Good working knowledge with corrosion prediction software (e.g De Waard and Milliams Formula, Norsok, ECE4 etc)
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Good working knowledge of NDT methods and technology, including intelligent pigging.
Experience to lead a EPC project.
