We handle innovative projects involving specialized areas such as Enhanced Oil Recovery, High Pressure Sour Gas processing and GRP/GRE Pipeline, Concept/Pre-FEED studies and Process Safety and Risk management. We are positioned as the preferred Consultant for future developments in Oman's Oil and Gas fields in these areas.

Worley Parsons Oman is focusing on expanding its Hydrocarbons, Power, Infrastructure & Environmental and Minerals & Metals Customer Sector Groups as well as its Consulting Practices, Select and Improve teams to support the country's diversification and have secured significant EPCM/PMC contracts from Oman's major operators within these sectors.

Primary objective
To carry out corrosion risk and material selection studies for multiple projects.


Specific Accountabilities
Selection, review of materials for Refinery / Oil and Gas facilities.
Assesment of Service life Corrosion (SLC), Life Cycle Cost analysis (LCC) for Refinery / Oil and Gas projects.
Design and review of Cathodic Protection (CP) systems and Corrosion Monitoring (CM) facilities for Refinery / Oil and Gas projects.
Corrosion Management/Integrity assessment of Refinery / Oil and Gas projects.
Review of Intelligent Pigging (IP) and engineering assessment of identified pipeline defects.
Selection and performance evaluation of corrosion inhibitors for oil and gas applications.
Quality Assurance Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the BU, etc
Safety Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the BU, etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.

Job Requirements:

Essential Skills/Experience
Minimum 10 yrs of relevant experience in materials selection, corrosion management & integrity assessments in major oil and gas projects.
Experience in use of international Corrosion Modelling software packages.
Good knowledge and experience with the internation codes and standards.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Must have experience working in upstream oil and gas projects for operator / consultant engineer/ EPC

Matching Indicators
Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
