Construction E&I / CATHODIC PROTECTION job in Papua New Guinea
Rotation: 6x2 in Papua New Guinea

MAIN FUNCTIONS
• Oversee Contractor’s E & I and CP related work activities.
• Monitors Contractor’s execution progress and works with the Construction Superintendents to assign the E&I/CP inspectors.
• Overseas the E&I/CP inspectors in the field. Depending on the candidate’s expertise, assigned scope of work may include fiber optics related installation, terminations and testing, along with the oversight of the inspections works performed for this scope of work.
• Helps to resolve day to day E & I/CP related issues and uses expertise to recommend issue resolution.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide oversight of Contractor’s materials management/verification systems related to electrical/instrumentation/CP materials.
• Reviews all E & I/CP drawings upon issuance to the field and informs the Lead Pipeline Engineer and the Electrical/CP Engineer of any issues with the drawings.
• Ensure that all E & I/CP related activities are performed in compliance with specifications, procedures, and applicable codes
• Performs periodic audits and site assessments of Contractor activities related to E & I/CP and recommends and follows to completion all noted deficiencies.
• Helps Contractor to troubleshoot E & I/CP related issues
• Monitors Contractor’s progress during the development and the filling out of E&I/CP related mechanical check sheets and ITPs.
Experience in Fiber Optic Cable installation and splicing processes a plus

- Solid work tenure/Work experience
- Major Owner Operator Experience
- Heavy I&E background - Plant based
- Previous hardship location preferred
- Must be able to work independently without management oversight
