Job Description

We are seeking a Reliability Technical Authority to join my clients teams in London

You will work on subsea pipeline projects in many challenging locations including the North Sea, the Arctic, West Africa, the Mediterranean and the Caspian.

In addition to a project role as a Lead Reliability/Integrity Engineer,the candidate will act as the Reliability Technical Authority to ensure a consistent and high quality approach to Reliability, Integrity and Risk Management across the project portfolio.

The role will involve travel to various client, other consultant and vendor offices to provide training, lead workshops and participate in meetings.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Act as Technical Authority for matters relating to implementation of Integrity Management, Reliability Processes and Risk Management.
  • Ensure the Reliability Engineering Procedure is correctly interpreted and applied across projects.
  • Manage integrity management and reliability processes in projects performing a reliability assessment loop during each phase of the project as required
  • Raise awareness of reliability/integrity engineering amongst project teams
  • Provide reliability/integrity related training to the wider client and project teams
  • Understand and manage the production of Integrity Management strategies
  • Allocate reliability/integrity work amongst the team and recommend suitable third-party contractors capable of supporting projects
  • Assist in lessons learned process.
  • Conduct and/or manage RAM studies and generate reports, technical notes and specifications
  • Assist discipline engineers in providing technical assurance to projects
  • Facilitate Workshops (Risk Assessments, design reviews, FMECA’s etc)

Experience Required

  • BSc, B Eng minimum.
  • 10 years postgraduate industry experience.
  • Has familiarity with the application of API 17 N in reliability management during design and manufacture of subsea equipment.
  • Has produced and maintained a risk register.
  • Experience in the use of FMEA/FMECA and RAM modelling
  • Has developed and executed a reliability verification and validation plan.
  • Carried out reviews to identify the tools needed to minimize risk and to optimise reliability/availability.
  • Experience with the management of change.
  • Understands the key concepts relating to Risk (threat & opportunity) and Uncertainty
  • Has workshop facilitation skills (Risk Assessments, design reviews, FMECA’s etc)
