The Company:
An oil and gas supermajor has senior roles available for pipeline engineers
The Role:
The Regional Pipeline TA is the most senior Pipeline Engineer in the region responsible for providing technical assurance, expertise and leadership within the Region. The TA is a deep pipeline discipline specialist who supports the Regional Engineering Authority (EA) and has responsibilities in the following three key areas:
Technical Assurance of the Pipeline infrastructure:
- Manage and advise on pipeline engineering risk in the Region and to communicate this clearly.
- Assurance to the Senior Leadership of the ongoing integrity and safe operation of the pipeline systems through integrity assessments and audit.
- Advise on the use of appropriate standards, practices and design guidelines.
Participation and Leadership in the Local and Broader Pipeline Communities
- Participate in Global Pipeline Network.
- Lead the Regional Pipelines Community of Practice.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to National Staff and international staff as appropriate.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Professional engineer or Chartered engineer.
- Pipeline operations experience.
- Strong technical knowledge and practical working experience in pipeline integrity and defect assessment methods.
- Technical knowledge and practical working experience in the design and execution of pipeline intervention, maintenance and repair methods.
- Strong working knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation planning.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong team player with the ability to stand alone in challenging situations.
- Good working knowledge of the relevant regulations, design codes and standards.
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Projects experience preferred.
Good working knowledge of complimentary disciplines (e.g. corrosion, mechanical, flow assurance disciplines).
- Good working knowledge of metallurgy, welding, and coating;
- Good working knowledge of pipeline intervention, repair supervision and HSSE management
