Job Description
The candidate must be open to spend time overseas to provide assistance required from our offices presently represented in UK and Norway. Further some travelling activity is to be expected as well as field work on off-shore Inspection/construction vessels can be relevant.
Your Tasks may involve
Design and assessment of jackets and subsea structures, integrity management and evaluation of various main structures in operation
Planning of marine operations and offshore work.
Structural assistance to design of permanent work as manifolds, templates, PLEMs, riserbases, pro-tection structures, spools, tees
Follow up such design at subcontractors and fabricators on behalf of various projects
Write specifications for design of permanent work
General good knowledge about offshore engineering disciplines and analysis methods
Advise and guide younger engineers in design of smaller temporary and permanent work structures
Take responsibility for, and ensure that the work provided by contractors meets specifications, rele-vant codes and standards.
Detailed knowledge to North Sea codes for load bearing structures, especially ISO 19902.
Ensure that the quality of the work scopes is of the highest standard and that all tasks and targets are achieved within the project schedule/milestones.
Assist and participate in project decision gates, plus safety and technical reviews.
Management of Danish Assets.
Your profile
You should preferably hold a Masters Degree in civil/structural engineering, and have:
Minimum of 10 years experience within engineering of jackets and subsea structures (either in project or operations integrity support).
Relevant structure experience on offshore projects, designed to North Sea codes and standards.
In addition experience is desired in the following areas:
Operations and maintenance experience, which can be brought into the design
Oil/gas production company experience, or alternatively engineering or contractor
Working with and managing engineering/contracting companies, fabricators and equipment suppliers
Project experience
Self-motivated, team player with a strength to execute
Good communication skills, including oral and written reporting, must be fluent in English
Knowledge to a Scandinavian language will be useful, but is not a precondition.
