Job Description
The Company:
Our Client is a Leading Operator in the Oil and Gas System.
The Role:
Directs Process Central Control Room Activities.
Supervises the activities of the unit operators and maintains a log of Production/Maintenance activities.
Co-ordinates with Maintenance groups for both routine and non-routine maintenance work.
Ensures that safe working practices are carried out and in an emergency. Maintains a link with management and the emergency response team.
Makes adjustments as necessary to maximize production and co-ordinates with the Laboratory Technician to maintain product specification.
Train control room technicians on how to start up and shutdown all process equipment in accordance with procedures.
Ensures operational and maintenance requirements are carried out with the co-operation of the outside operator.
Notes: The sucessful candidate will work in Algeria on a 28/28 rotation. (12 Month Rolling Contract)
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent in Process/Petroleum Engineering or related discipline. Chartered Engineer status preferred
Required Experience:
Minimum of 10 years work experience in oil/gas operations. Must have worked in a supervisory control room position for at least 5 years. Experience in training and / or Standards of Competency would be an advantage.
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of Operating process plant as efficiently and safely as possible, to maintain quality of products required in area of responsibility.
Experience and training in Incident control.
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in Yokogawa control systems would be an advantage.
