Control Room Operator (Marine) - FPSO job in UK
Air Energi need a Temporary Control Room Operator (Marine) for an FPSO which is currently in dock undergoing repairs off the Scottish coast.
This will be for 2 trips starting 21st February working 2/3 rota aboard the FPSO.
Our client is expanding their operations on the UK Continental Shelf due to increased activity. The Control Room Operator will be responsible for the running control of the ship, it’s position and draught, and assisting in stability calculations. Furthermore, responsibilities includes the daily maintenance and operations of the bridge, and ensuring that the day-to-day activities onboard are carried out in a safe and healthy manner and that the impact of such activities on the environment is within acceptable limits.
Specific Duties:
Keep continuous watch on the bridge and be informed as to where supply vessels, stand-by vessels and helicopters are located, and carry out all radio communication to and from the ship. In addition, the CRO monitors the:
Cargo and ballast control panel
Mooring tension, and ships head with respect to the weather and flare
Inert gas pressure and oxygen content of cargo tanks
GMDSS
Marine alarms
Requirements:
UK residents who hold STCW II/2 Unlimited Master certificates and have experience from tankers and/or mobile units will be considered for this position.
Rate is negotiable.
