We are currently recruiting on behalf of the client for an OFFSHORE CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR based inAberdeen.

This is a STAFF only position with a 2/2 week rotation offshore

Our client is a global oilfield service provider specializing in drilling services and well services. They employ over 8,000 people unified by a single purpose: building better wells to help our customers produce more oil and gas.

The Offshore Construction Supervisor will report directly to the Construction Manager.

Role

The Offshore Construction Supervisor is designated to deliver work as delegated by Construction Manager.

Key responsibilities

• To ensure that Company and Client HSEQ policies and procedures are adhered to across the Company and subcontracted offshore Construction teams.

• To ensure that all offshore work preparation and documentation is in place prior to construction start.

• To ensure safe and effective site execution of all construction and commissioning activities.

• To adhere to the build sequence, workpacks and jobcards as defined and ensure their availability to all parties involved in the construction process offshore.

• To manage and coordinate all permit activities as per platform requirements.

• To report progress against project plans, noting any areas of concern and identifying corrective actions.

• To idenfity and communicate site queries and implement engineered response.

• To ensure the Performing Authority and the work party conduct a comprehensive Toolbox talk in compliance with the Permit to Work (PTW).

• To ensure all construction personnel and subcontractors are participating in the STOP process.

• To ensure the hazards, risks and control measures detailed on the Onshore Risk Assessment and to include these in the PTW.

• To participate in Company or subcontractor incident investigation and reporting process.

• To adhere to pre-commissioning sequence and commissioning procedures and ensure availability to all parties involved in the commissioning process.

• To participate in the construction readiness review in terms of manning, materials, equipment, tools and documentation.

• To ensure offshore daily reporting is conducted in an accurate manner and distributed to the Construction Manager.

• To ensure that mechanical completion is achieved and documented.

• To ensure that pre-commissioning and commissioning is carried out safely, effectively and thoroughly documented and approved.

• To ensure that punchlist management is conducted offshore and that all punchlist items are addressed.

• To oversee the “red line” mark-up process for maintainable documentation.

• To deliver the post-construction documentation to onshore for close-out.

• To expedite the Client acceptance and handover documentation in accordance with the Handover process.

• Responsible for adherence to the Change Management process (site query) across Construction and Commissioning phases.

• To provide technical, ethical, professional leadership, support and mentoring to colleagues.

• To respect colleagues, clients and subcontractors at all levels, dealing with any dispute or conflict in a professional and personable manner.

• Any other reasonable duties as specified by Line Manager.

There may also be a requirement to visit and work at other company locations.
