GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Reporting to the Power Plant Commissioning Manager, the Boiler Commissioning Lead will be responsible for leading a team to undertake Pre-operational Testing, Start Up and Commissioning activities related to the Circulating Fluidized Bed Boilers and related auxiliaries at the Koniambo job site in a safe and prudent manner, in keeping with industry standards and OEM requirements.

NATURE AND SCOPE
The Boiler Commissioning Lead will develop, implement and execute pre-op, start up and commissioning procedures in keeping with project procedures and as necessary to execute assigned work. He/she will provide input to the start up and commissioning planning, coordination of vendors, workers, technicians and supervisors as necessary for the effective and timely execution of the work. The job involves lifting, repeated climbing of stairs and ladders, working at height, working in hot humid conditions and in close quarters, including vessel entry. The job requires the ability to wear a respirator, safety harness and to continuously wear hard toed safety boots, hard hat and safety glasses.

DIMENSIONS (Job Requirements - Skills Required & Education)

Required
- Engineer or similar level of skill and knowledge as it relates to the installation, operation and commissioning of CFB boilers in the energy sector
- The ability to read and comprehend P&IDs, PFDs, Heat Balances, Electrical Diagrams, Layout and Installation drawings.
- Minimum 5 years experience with checkout, commissioning and operation of boilers
- Supervisory experience
- Previous international experience
- Previous involvement in plant performance testing or at minimum understand the related concepts
- Clear thinker, able to divide a job into small logical steps
- Excellent communications skills
- Excellent written English (commissioning procedures are written in English)
