Commodity Manager - Electronics job in UK
Our client is one of the leading global providers in engineering and construction services as well as technology products and integrated solutions and employ over 20,000 personnel in around 30 countries
As Commodity Manager - Electronics your main responsibilities will include
Hold structured, regular business reviews with key suppliers, reviewing all aspects of supplier’s performance.
Provide forecasts and review capacity plans with key suppliers
Develop new suppliers with input and assistance from CoE (Centre of Excellence), R&D (Research and Development), operational buying teams and quality department
Negotiate and implement strategic vendor agreements as required
Actively reduce qualified supplier list (QSL) / approved vendor list (AVL)
Review and action (approve or reject) all requested additions to QSL / AVL
Support and drive supplier improvement initiatives
Create and implement a performance review system with suppliers, including any necessary exit strategies
Negotiate and agree standard Terms and Conditions of Purchase, with key suppliers
Ensure that all procedures are complied with and all actions are auditable
Provide support to operational buyers as and when required
Fulfil HSE responsibilities in line with company policy and management system.
Perform any other work related task as requested by the Procurement and Vendor Manager
Qualifications / Personal Attributes:
Educated to A level standard, or local equivalent
Postgraduate Degree or Equivalent CIPS qualification
Specific Training
Working knowledge in MS Applications
Conversant with standard Terms and Conditions of Sale / Purchase
