Job Description
The Company:
Our client is a Major Operator seeking a Contract & Procurement Analyst to join their team.

The Role:
As part of the Contracts and Procurement Department the jobholder will procure goods and services in accordance with prescribed company policies and procedures; prepare, issue, and tabulate tender results; provide data analysis and reporting; provide general administrative support to the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-The jobholder is accountable for supporting their appointed C&P Lead in analyzing all interrelated data/issues pertaining to Contracts & Procurement processes, performance and needs, both internal and external.
-Responsible for performing contract administration duties which include preparing, issuing, and managing the approval process and any amendments for one-off purchase orders, call-off orders, and contracts.
-Manages supplier and vendor prequalification and due diligence process in coordination with COMPANYs Finance, Credit, Legal, and Insurance departments.
-Provides support in the preparation, facilitation, and management of tenders (RFPs/ RFQs) and market inquiries (RFIs) for all business procurement requirements.
-Works with external suppliers and vendors to obtain the safest, most competitively priced, timely delivered, highest quality, and best contract terms in accordance with COMPANYs Standards and Policies.
-Identifies and makes recommendations to internal business clients in regard to vendor selection for the procurement of goods and/or services, meeting criteria such as safety, ethics, human rights, price, quantity, quality, and delivery date.
-Interacts and coordinates with internal peers and clients at various levels in order to deliver the desired output and provides project status updates on a regular basis.
-Provides assistance with demand management and/or category plans, as well as any other duties that may arise.
-Maintains and organizes contract files including contract documents, data entry, generation of reports on database sites, status of client requests/ projects. (Procon / SAP / SharePoint / MS Office suite)
-Provides support with requests for new vendors and maintains contact information and any updates to existing contracts and vendors within COMPANYs C&P systems. Specifically performs validation checks of data entered into the Contracts & Procurement systems against executed contract documents.
-Supports internal / external audit activities
-Identifies and suggests areas of aggregation and/or consolidation.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
-Bachelor degree from an accredited university or equivalent.
-Understands C&P Standards and applies well-defined C&P processes,
-Has appropriate industry experience, eg application under supervision of C&P processes in a relevant supply category or market.
-Requires experience of, and demonstrates proficiency in contracts and procurement responsibilities (i.e. tendering and procurement of goods and/or services, contract administration, and contractor management).
-Requires full understanding of procurement processes, tools and techniques, and a general understanding of contract terms and conditions.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
-Prefer experience with SAP Material Management Module, Contract Management Systems such as Procon,
-Prefer proficiency with various MS Office software applications (i.e. Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, SharePoint)
-Prefer experience working with data analysis and reporting. Specifically has ability to develop performance metric reports and data trending analysis. Should be proficient with analytical techniques (pivot tables, bar charts, pie graphs, etc) and tools.
-Prefer prior experience with an Oil & Gas Major, Service Company, or Shipping/ Marine Company.
-Prefer exposure to international contracts.
