The Company:
Our Client is a major Oil and gas operator and has operations though out the world.
The Role:
The Fluids and Cementing Category Lead will be responsible for the effective execution of procurement and supply chain activities for Cement and Fluids category products and services.
Cementing and Fluids Category includes: Cementing, Cementing accessories, Drilling Fluids, Completion Fluids, Well Bore Cleanout, Waste Management.
Typical activities include:
Act as a Single Point of Accountability, liaising with business stakeholders for allocating commodities & services within the Cementing and Fluids Category.
Sourcing Programme management, activity tracking & performance reporting to optimise team performance.
Build strong and effective relationships with the wells Line organization to align agendas in support of safe and compliant wells.
Input to region wells and PSCM risk registers and implementation of mitigation actions.
Development of contracting plans and input to Global Category Management plan.
Participate in Strategic Sourcing activities and input to Supplier selection for the regions ensuring compliance with the Contractor Safety Management Program.
Provide regional Market Intelligence for the specific sub-sector and develop effective Contract Implementation Plans.
Participation in Category Management Global Network to share best practices and learning's and influence the Category agenda/priorities and input into the Market Sector Strategies for global Fluids & Cementing sub- sector.
Provide periodic performance updates to the global category management team.
Minimize business risk through ensuring rigorous contract management controls and support the local PSCM in expediting & issue resolution.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree qualified or equivalent.
CIPS qualified or equivalent or working towards.
Experience in managing supplier relationships.
Development of Category Plans and sourcing plans, both project & programme.
Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Oil & Gas or Manufacturing industry experience within a Global / Multi-national business.
Sourcing & tendering experience, including use of e-sourcing tools in particular Ariba.
Being able to work under pressure and stringent time constraints.
Team leader as well as working under own initiative.
