Opportunity for a Radiological Waste/ Nuclear Waste Business Development Manager (BDM) to join a leading company in the nuclear and defence markets. This company is recognised for their expertise in the engineering, energy, nuclear R&D, design, build, operations and decommissioning market and have had a presence from the very beginning of the nuclear industry.
The Radiological Waste / Nuclear Waste BDM will be responsible for identifying and securing profitable business from new and existing customers in the radiological waste market. The Radiological Waste / Nuclear Waste BDM works closely with the operational departments (Health Physics Services, Operational Services and Technical Services) as well as Commercial and Corporate Communications to secure profitable business from new and existing clients.
The Radiological Waste / Nuclear Waste BDM fundamentally:
- develops annual business plans;
- builds relationships with key clients;
- identifies potential prospects;
- works operational staff and Bid Managers to develop winning tender strategies;
- contributes to tender preparation.
The successful Radiological Waste / Nuclear Waste BDM will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent) in a Science or technical subject although not essential
- Competency in French is desirable though not essential
- A technical background in radiation protection and decommissioning
- The ability and confidence to meet clients at all levels and present capabilities
- Good communications skills and the ability to organise and lead effective presentations
- Competent at championing prospects
- Excellent stakeholder management experience
- Extensive client interface experience in a leading/responsible capacity
A Full UK Driving License is essential for this role as is eligibility to gain SC clearance.
