My Client is a small/mid sized independent international operator with current production and an aggressive drilling campaign that will see them drilling 6 exploration wells in 2012 as well as further activity already being planned for 2013.

This role will be reporting directly into the CEO and will form a key part of the companies senior management team. You will be responsible for managing the companies exploration strategy and activities covering the existing portfolio as well as leading the identification and negotiation of exploration new ventures such as farm-ins and bid-rounds.

There will be direct responsibility for approximately 20-25 subsurface staff initially with headcount to expand the team.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a similar role with experience in SE Asia. You should have a strong technical background as well as exposure to management roles in addition to a continuing interest in Geoscience. As you will be responsible for liaising and influencing both partners and governments you must have an entreprenuerial flair and past exposure to such responsibilties.
