Business Development Manager job in UK
As the demand for our expertise continues to grow, a requirement has arisen for a Business Development Manager to actively assist in the strategic development of both new and existing business opportunities within AMEC Power & Process UK and Europe in Darlington.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the preparation of international and national strategic business development programmes.
- Pursuance of new business opportunities in accordance with the AMEC’s business development plan.
- Act as an initial point of Contact for prospective new business partners.
- Develop potential opportunities with existing customers.
- Focus on expanding the current services provided to existing customers.
- Prepare and present proposals to prospective clients.
- Provide technical and managerial assistance in the mobilisation of new and developing contracts.
- Ensuring that all new contracts fall within the business plan.
Person Specification;
Broad operational and management experience in the Power and Process markets with sound financial acumen with an understanding of the tendering process.
Demonstrable experience in gaining new contact in overseas markets and a proven track record in sales and marketing.
You will have the ability to work to exacting deadlines and a first class oral communication skills.Ability to work on own initiative, a good problem solver with strong technical ability and a strong ‘can-do’ attitude.
