Business Development Manager/GM Designate Purpose: To be main direct sales representative for the company across all products and clients based in Scotland. To assist in driving sales targets and achieving annual booking targets. Responsibilities: New Business - Seek out opportunities for the main product groups supplied by the company:- - Manual Valve Packages - Actuated Valve Packages - SOV’s - Control Valves and Relief Valves Client Interfacing - Follow up key Open Enquiries to ensure requirements are covered and client is happy with our offer. Obtain information to assist in award of orders and maintain accurate information on open enquiries. Target Instrument and Piping Engineers across our main client base and noted target clients. Carry out and target FPAL feedback as agreed with GM and QA Manager. Assist in entertain new and existing clients as required. Reporting - Advise on forward call plans to ensure we get best use and can give input in preparation of the visits. Input and Maintenance of the Sales Pipeline. Input and Maintenance of Forward looking project lists. Enquiry / Order Forecasting - Participating in forecasting in weekly / monthly basis. Attend Monthly Sales Meetings. Skills - Knowledge of - Valve Types – Gate, Globe, Check, Butterfly, Ball, Plug etc - Valve Actuation and Controls – SOV, Filter Regs, Sizing etc - Industry Standards for design, testing etc - Be able to discuss with clients applications and give advice on product options. - Knowledge of Bands and History of company’s represented Be experience in direct sales and have knowledge of the market, clients and opportunities available. PC Literate. NB. Whilst knowledge/experience of the valve business is important, of equal, if not greater importance, is client contacts and successful relationships.
