Business Development Engineer

A position for a Business Development Engineer has become available to support the Australia West and Hydrocarbons CSG, to pursue and win location specific project opportunities, using leadership and coordination in pursuing smaller projects, including pre qualifications, EOI’s and short proposals.

The accountabilities of this position:

• Prospecting for opportunities by calling on clients, project database searches, responses to enquiries from the industry, networking at industry associated functions,

conferences and exhibitions

• Developing knowledge of clients and key client personnel, building relationships with decision makers and decision supporters within the client organization

• Assisting the CRM managers and CSG managers by setting up meetings, writing and circulating reports of these, placing information on the CRM Sharepoint site,

receiving feedback and input as appropriate

• Supporting Strategic Marketing in the provision of promotional literature

• Developing familiarity and appreciation of capability and ongoing work load competitors in the Location

• Working with the Business Development team to coordinate business development efforts and zippering plans

Job Requirements

This achievement oriented individual will possess the following:

• A minimum of 5 years industry experience (Oil & Gas)

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or similar. A secondary tertiary qualification in Marketing is desirable

• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

• Leadership and good communication skills including written, oral and presentation

• Engineering & design experience working on projects. Experience working on site is desirable

This position will be well suited to an Engineer who is ready to take the next step into a Business Development, client interface role.
