They are currently recruiting for the position of Control & Automation Engineer, based in Assen.

Job Description

• Providing assistance to the C&A Technical Authority in maintaining technical integrity
• Developing and evaluating maintenance routines for control & automation equipment
• Acting as the liaison with specialised C&A contractors
• Advising on execution issues of maintenance routines and reviewing and evaluating results from these routines
• Giving Asset support on all matters relating to C&A systems maintenance, operability, and performance of all Control & Automation equipment
• Providing technical and commercial advice on all aspects of conceptual and detailed design, purchase and implementation of Process Automation and Instrumented Protective systems and field instrumentation
• Providing technical assurance of the adequacy of designs prepared by contractors
• Participating in technical audits and reviews, HAZOP, and assisting peers
• Providing support of SIL classifications
• Promoting the application of new technologies and design and implementation methodologies

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor degree in the Control & Automation discipline (or equivalent)
• Extensive experience in the petrochemical industry, preferably in oil and gas production, is essential for this role, as well as practical experience with SAP
• In-depth knowledge of Control & Automation engineering and systems integrity
• Competent in application and facilitation of SIL assessment techniques, reliability/availability and FMEA analysis
• Experience in the design and maintenance of measurement & control, safeguarding and fire and gas detection systems
• Knowledge of telemetry systems and Instrumented Protective Functions methodology and testing requirements are strongly preferred
• A good command of the English and preferably also of the Dutch language

This is a contract position.

The rate for this position is negotiable.
