Job Description

Management Accountant required for 12month renewable contract based in Abu Dhabi.

Duties

1

MANAGEMENT REPORTING

  • Assist Location Finance and the FCs with the preparation of Location management results in accordance with The Way and Group reporting requirements.
  • Engaged in the Global Management Reporting processes and expert in the systems for the delivery of consistent, accurate and timely management information (financial and statistical) to enable efficient fact based decision making.
  • Analyses and interprets Location management reporting; comparing budget/forecast to actual, including KPI’s, key business drivers and trends, overheads, business development activities and market conditions.
  • Ensures the accurate and timely consolidation of financial and statistical information of the Locations into the group reporting systems.
  • Develop, communicate and provide guidance and training on ‘The Way’ to ensure the application of consistent management accounting across locations, in order to provide the Group with consistent information.
  • Communicates and operates effectively between Location and Global, demonstrating cross organisational collaboration in order to achieve the correct balance between effective Global operations and local conditions/requirements.
  • Works effectively in a global, multi-cultural team in a remote/virtual environment.

BUDGETING AND FORECASTING

  • Part of the team responsible for the Global Budgeting and forecasting processes and systems, including preparation, analysis and interpretation of Location budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely consolidation of Location budgets and forecasts and preparation of Location budget and forecast results.

HYPERION / BUSINESS REPORTING TOOL

  • Contributes to the development of IT applications that provide fit-for-purpose information for the business and guides others in their effective use.
  • Develops and implements dashboards and management reports to meet the needs to all stakeholders.
  • Provides training to Location Finance personnel on Hyperion and the Business Reporting Tool.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

  • Proactively identifies and contributes to the ongoing development of systems and processes to enhance management reporting and budgeting processes.
  • Undertakes ad-hoc reporting and participates in special projects as required.

Knowledge / Experience / Competencies Required

Job Specific Knowledge:

  • 6 years’ significant financial experience; minimum 3 years post-qualification experience.
  • Expert technical and analytical accounting skills, specifically in the areas of financial modelling and reporting.
  • Must have either public practice or publicly traded company experience – both would be preferable.
  • Expert technical understanding of IFRS; maintains the highest professional ethics and standards.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

  • Diploma in Accounting or 4-year Bachelors degree in Commerce or Business.
  • Accounting designation (CA, CPA etc)

IT Skills:

  • Familiar with ERP and BI environments, specifically Oracle.
  • Hyperion Super User; able to create business logic/rules.

Other:

  • Requirement to travel internationally (1-3 times per year).
