Job Description
FINTEC recruit are seeking a Finance Analyst Project Accountant for their engineering client based in Highland region.
This role is to Analyse and forecast financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions. To provide support for the Regional Financial Controller for the Execution of his responsibilities.
Applicants must have professional certificates in MICPA, ACCA, ASCPA, MIA, CIMA or a good accounting degree (minimum 2nd class upper)
Must have a proven and well developed knowledge and skills, interpret financial information on costs, prices, expenses and revenues and make recommendations to senior management.
Assist with all accounting tasks, audit & taxation for the NEU Region.
Conduct and document complex financial analysis projects as required
Develop analysis of economic indicators in order to prepare forecasts and analyse the company's short, medium, and long term position. Assist in the development and implementation of internal control procedures, review internal control and recommend corrective measures.
Coach, advise, or train less-experienced financial and payroll staff as required.
Prepare in-depth evaluations of plans and identify new methods of analysis and
presentation
Experience & knowledge Ideally 5-6 years of relevant working experience & conversant in financial analysis, audit, accounting, taxation and financial matters in a related working environment.
In-depth exposure to financial systems and account analysis/reconciliation, standard and actual costs systems and cost analysis.
Proven ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid and professional conclusions.
Preparation and presentation of appropriate Financial Analysis as required to the Regional Financial Controller and Regional Manager as required. Proven knowledge of internal and external financial trends.
Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules and expedite workflow to meet statutory and business timescales
